  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTSmpBcSjWM&amp;t=1079">17:59</a> <br>I’ve come up with a metaphor for being trans/gender dysphoria as well.<br><br>You’re going to go live in a place where when you walk in you’re assigned one of two chairs based on how you look, and it’s the only chair you can sit in. The people assigning the chairs take their best guess. Most of the time, everyone is comfortable. But when you get assigned your chair, you find it uncomfortable. And it just gets more and more uncomfortable, to the point that you’d rather no longer be there than sit in the chair. Whenever you look at the other chair it looks like it’ll be extremely comfortable. You know you can’t go to that chair. Everyone looks down upon you. You can be punished, because you’ve seen others try it. Some were even kicked out. Until finally, you say “screw it” and sit in the chair. You find that it’s so comfortable that it gives you a sense of euphoria. But, so you don’t get caught and in trouble, you go back to your old chair. You realize that everyone else is experiencing that level of comfort all the time, while you only got a few short seconds of it. You realize that you need to sit in that chair. Because everyone else is sitting in the chair they’re comfortable in, and the system is unfair of assigning chairs randomly. <br><br>This is meant to be a metaphor for gender dysphoria, trying to explain that when we say we feel like another gender, we really mean we feel uncomfortable and unhappy as the gender we were assigned at birth and feel much happier and much more comfortable as a different gender.
