Who Tore the Kingdom of David? | The Story of Jeroboam and Rehoboam | Stunning Animated Bible Story

The story of Jeroboam and Rehoboam is how one sentence broke the kingdom of Israel forever. Solomon's son inherited twelve tribes from his grandfather David. By the end of one afternoon at Shechem, he had lost ten of them. A young officer who had run from a death sentence in Egypt came home with a torn cloak in his memory and a kingdom of his own. Two thrones rose where one had stood. A pharaoh stripped Jerusalem of every gold shield Solomon had hammered. A king's hand shriveled at his own altar. The crack these two men made never closed in their lifetimes, and yet the line of David survived inside the smaller half — the line that would one day mend everything they had torn. This is the story of the divided kingdom, and the moment that set Israel on the road to Bethlehem. 📖 Scripture source: 1 Kings 11–14; 2 Chronicles 10–12; with echoes from Ezekiel 37 ⏱️ Chapters: 0:00 Intro 2:52 Chapter 1 — The Torn Cloak 6:13 Chapter 2 — Whips and Scorpions 8:48 Chapter 3 — What Portion Have We in David? 11:13 Chapter 4 — Behold Your Gods 13:59 Chapter 5 — The Withered Hand 16:41 Chapter 6 — Two Kings, Two Roads 18:47 Chapter 7 — Shishak at the Gate 21:46 Chapter 8 — The Disguise 25:11 Chapter 9 — All Their Days 27:09 Chapter 10 — A Kingdom Cut in Two 29:25 Outro In this movie you will witness: • The prophet Ahijah tearing his new cloak into twelve pieces and handing ten of them to a young officer named Jeroboam • Solomon sending men to kill the man God has just chosen to take ten tribes from his son • Rehoboam asking the elders for counsel, then ignoring them for the friends he grew up with • The single sentence at Shechem that turned a reasonable request into a national divorce • The official Adoniram stoned to death where he stood, while Rehoboam barely reaches his chariot • Two golden calves rising at Bethel and Dan so the northern tribes never have to walk to Jerusalem • A man of God speaking to the altar itself, naming a king who will not be born for three hundred years • Jeroboam's hand shriveling on the altar at Bethel, and the same hand returning at the prophet's prayer • Pharaoh Shishak stripping every gold shield from the Temple Solomon had built • Rehoboam and the princes of Judah humbling themselves with four words: the Lord is just • A blind prophet recognizing a disguised queen at the doorway of his house in Shiloh • Two sticks of wood joined in Ezekiel's hand — the promise that what these kings broke would one day be made one again 🎬 Watch more Bible stories from Ark Films: ▶ The Story of Athaliah → The Story of Athaliah | She Killed David's... ▶ Jesus trilogy III - The Resurrection → The Resurrection of Jesus | The Passion Tr... ▶ Jesus trilogy II - The Crucifixion → From Betrayal to the Cross: The Crucifixio... ▶ Jesus trilogy I - The Betrayal → From Hosanna to Betrayal | The Passion Tri... ▶ Lazarus — The Resurrection → The Resurrection of Lazarus | The Man God ... ▶ David: The Fall → David and Bathsheba: The Sin That Cost a K... ▶ Hagar — El Roi → The Story of Hagar: The Only One Who Named... ▶ Peter: The Denier → The Story of Peter | The Disciple Who Deni... ▶ David Forgives Saul → Why David Forgave Saul | The Fugitive of I... ▶ Jezebel and Elijah → The Fall of Jezebel | Elijah and the Queen... ▶ Jonah → The Story of Jonah: He Ran from God and Go... ▶ Leah → The Story of Rachel & Leah: Rejected by Ja... ▶ Tamar → The Untold Story of Tamar | From Betrayal ... ▶ Samson → Story of Samson | Stunning Animated Bible ... ▶ Joseph → The Story of Joseph | From Pit to Palace |... ▶ Moses → The story of Moses | From Prince to Delive... ▶ Daniel → The Story of Daniel — From Exile to the Li... ▶ Ruth → The Story of Ruth | Story of Faith, Love a... ▶ Job → The Story of Job: When Faith Is Tested | P... ▶ The Prodigal Son → The Prodigal Son: The Journey Home | Stunn... ▶ The Fall of Jericho → The Fall of Jericho | How a Prostitute and...
