In England you're expected to know your place. In the US you're expected to define your place.

The UK Broke MASSIVE tradition. They played the American national anthem after 9/11 and I'll never forget it. Thanks 🇬🇧

I've seen videos asking UK or French military who would be your choice if you were going into battle and both said Americans and the interviewer asked why and the UK soldier said "they're crazy, but in a good way crazy, you know you can count on them" and it was really the highest compliment one could offer a soldier from another country and being a US Vet those were extremely kind words and very much appreciated. The US & UK have so much more in common than we do in difference and I for one am glad we're on the same side.

I'm American - that first description about the kids from different mothers has me cracking up laughing right now. I love it.

As a Texan, the world needs the Brit’s. Keep your pride. Keep your culture. Keep your heart.

My mom grew up in Cardiff, she always liked Americans. She moved here (to the US) at 21 and became a citizen at 27, she was so proud to be an American.

I arrived in the US from the UK in the 60’s. I came to work for a year as a nurse. But I met my future husband after 5 days, and here I still am! I had many of the same reactions as the commentators. My British accent gave me a cachet that it certainly didn’t have in England. One big difference I noticed is the lack of class awareness. I remember in the UK if your dad had been a lowly dustman and you were now solidly in the middle or upper middle class, this was a fact that you did not mention. In the USA the reverse happens. An American will boast of his humble family background and is proud to have risen upwards. In fairness, this might not be so apparent today in the UK. The class system seems less entrenched into society.
I love America. I have been very blessed with a great husband, family and many friends.
Ordinary people are kind and openhearted. Any tragedy is met with a huge generous outpouring of time and money to help those affected. Yes there are problems, but the positives always outweigh the negatives in my opinion.
I still miss some things from my homeland, but from what I see, the country is not the one I left behind.

As a Brit, I love the outlook and general demeanour of the average American, they are positive and bright and optimistic and open. It’s a quite amazing thing.

The prime difference between the USA and England is, if you succeed in America, people think "way to go", yet in England, they want to scratch your car with a key. America loves the underdog.

Wow, I was skeptical on whether or not I should watch this video because I was waiting for the "bashing of Americans" video but I was pleasantly surprised at the initial analogy of finding out you have a relative with nicer parents or whatever. That was pretty damn funny. I was in the military and I worked with the Brits as well as many other nations and I have to be honest, despite culture and accents we are a lot alike. As a military man, they were my brothers and they considered us their brothers. We would make fun of each other in a joking harmless way but let me tell you, the Brits are some badass dudes and I am happy they are on our side. Good video, well done! Cheers from Arizona!
