As a 49ers fan just want to say Mike McDonald is a great guy you can tell he cares for his family and his team and the City of Seattle I have a lot of respect for him.

This is amazing.  I can't wait to watch the full interview. I have so much respect for Mike Macdonald, as a defensive genius, a head coach, but mostly as a man. He has such radical vulnerability; but he shows it doesn't make a man weak, it shows a man's strength. Getting a peak behind the curtain when he is on Brock and Salk, then Hardknocks, and now this. We are blessed to have him as our football coach.

Remarkable to express this kind of vulnerability. Gives one even more respect for the coach and man. And great job of interviewing to draw this out.

Rob Staton recommended this interview, and it did not disappoint. I love how the interviewer didn’t interject himself into all the questions. This should be shown in every journalism class — masterful job!

One of the greatest men on the planet. Even through those times he gave me hope and he gave the team hope. His leadership is top tier bordering on masterclass levels, if it was a few hundred years ago he'd be leading armies. So much nuance packed into one man. His ability to be vulnerable is one his biggest strengths and he presents his vulnerabilities in a triumphant way. We all have so much to learn from this man and I think the corporate world could use some pages out of his book.

Helluva man. Allows himself to be vulnerable and then talk about it to the world. No wonder the guys on the team love him. This Hawks' fans love who you are Mike, not just what you've accomplished.
