Good coverage and information, just little correction is that she is not "Ant Hunter" she is Aunt Egg Finder to be precise,they collect these eggs from red ants and put in few delicacies namely,"koi mot daeng" or "larb Sai khai mot daeng" khai means egg and that powder she is sprinkling to wave off ants and keep the eggs

It is odd, having been been on the Mekong a number of times, I get a different feeling looking at this, than when i was actually wading in the water along the Thai/Lao border years ago
