Fascinating that, in Star Trek, the Enterprise was a Constitution-class vessel…

26:28 that is the BEST view of the roll program I’ve ever watched. Just wow

Fun Fact: @39:10 - NASA thought about retrofitting Enterprise to replace Challenger. When they added up the cost of the retrofit, it was cheaper to just build a new shuttle, so that’s how we got Endeavor.

The video quality is amazing for the footage to be recorded in the 80’s

0:14 that is one of my favorite parts of the Saturn V launching. The vapor swirling around the booster looks beautiful. It showcases the raw power of those F-1 engines.

Fun Facts about the Challenger and Columbia accidents: The 1986 movie Space Camp was released in theaters a few months later around the same year as the Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy.

Little Mammoth Media did the The Big Space Shuttle video during the STS 83 and STS 94 flights before the Space Shuttle Columbia tragedy happened a few years later.

Both the 1986 movie and the 2003 Little Mammoth Media documentary video made for kids are released in different years in different times both of these tragic events happened.

Back in 1997 I'm glad that Little Mammoth Media went to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida and got a chance to the video before the STS 107 flight. Also, back in 2003 I was 7 years old and I didn't know about the Columbia tragedy and I was very young at the time.

Pretty bummer way to end the film, the program accomplished a lot.

If only they made the orbiters smaller and lighter, thus less complex and less costly to operate, the Shuttle Program might have survived longer, even until present day.

It’s amazing they flew over 130 missions!
Overall the program was successful and ground breaking.
Its season ended and it was just another step forward.
