  First time I loaded up DayZ I spawned in a small town where I was promptly found by two heavily kitted players. They knocked me out, took me to a barn, broke both my legs and led a zombie inside to finish me off as they watched. Good times

  First person I came across was at a police station in a mid sized town. He warned me not to come in the building or he would shoot and that he had a shotty aimed and ready to go if I was gonna try to kill him. Told him I was a noob that had nothing but a hacksaw so that woulda been hard to do lol the guy was actually nice and gave me a shotgun with some ammo, a clean canteen, and advice. Dude was a legend

  My first few steps in DayZ, I heard some scattered shooting as well as some direct chat nearby. Upon my investigation of the mysterious voices I noticed a couple geared players whom aproached me, guns lowered, and urged me to get in side as the outer world was, at this point in time, unsafe. As we entered the small abode next to us, the geared men inquired about my status on food and if I was in need of any gear to help me get by. I answered swiftly stating that I had only just spawned and I did in fact need food. One of the geared men offered me some Canned Spaghetti and opened it for me. As I ate my first meal I thanked the men, stating that I had only bought the game about a half an hour earlier and had absolutely no idea as to what I was doing. <br> <br>The men then all turned toward me and I heard the tone in their voices shift. <br> <br>&quot;This is your first day?&quot; One of them asked. <br> <br>&quot;Yes.&quot; I replied. <br> <br>He then swiftly drew his fire axe and swung it with great might into the front of my skull. <br> <br>Then he spoke the coldest words I had ever heard.. <br> <br>&quot;Welcome to DayZ.&quot;
