I&apos;d love if you could arrange a session, ideally as a podcast, to explore how the Sinhala and Tamil languages came to be distributed across Sri Lanka and how communities speaking both lived together in harmony for centuries.<br><br>In particular, I&apos;d like to cover:<br><br>Before the Iron Age: How people lived in Sri Lanka before around 500 BC, including the Yakka and Naga, and what languages they spoke.<br>The linguistic shift:How Sinhala developed under the influence of North Indian Prakrit, and how Tamil arrived from the Dravidian languages of South India.<br>Genetics:Why Sri Lankans are genetically closer to South Indians than to North Indians.<br>The Naga connection:What links South Indian Tamil people to the Naga.<br><br>I&apos;d be very grateful if we could make this happen.
