  This movie isn’t talked about enough. It made me laugh out loud and cry. I like that they didn’t want kids and then decided to adopt. The kids are their kids no matter what dna they have.

  As a parent who has adopted through foster care my family loves this movie. Soooo relatable. The only issue I have is I wish there was a follow up movie because the adoption ceremony isn’t the end of the road…. There is still a lot happening and trauma doesn’t end there. But it’s a great movie.

  I literally started tearing up at the scene of the mom brushing her hair, and then you just HAD to ruin it. “my mommy wasn’t there! to brush the back of my hair 😩” 🤣💀💕

  I am not a foster parent but I have worked 1 on 1 with lots of kids in the foster care system. This is pretty accurate. The stories you hear little 7 year olds share makes you want to go to battle for them. Then once you get to know them and they know you aren’t going anywhere they will go to battle with you. The chaos that happens at the beginning and then after the family visits is just a symptom of the anger. So many things about this movie remind me of so many stories.
