Whatever happens here they NEED to focus on public transit. Run trains right down the center of the freeways and quit widening them

Delusional. I35 will be congested as ever before, but even noisier and wider than before. There is no development "vision" in Austin. Developers build without much planning, and then taxpayers have to figure out how to provide transportation. Look at the Domain: You need a shuttle to get to the train station. It is built around parking structures. And how often as a local resident do you need an Apple store or Luis Vitton?

I'm an Austin native. 20 plus year veteran of RE here. This guy is really spot on for high level overview. It's interesting to dig a few layers to get the "why" for the way these parts are like they are. Soil types, politics, demographics, history, lots of cool things on a deeper level, but for what this video is, it was done very well. I've often thought about making a purposefully less polished and candid version of a video like this LOL.

The truly massive development over the next couple of decades will be East/Southeast, not to say north won't still be going strong but east will be almost unbelievable. All that open land means possibility without as much or any restraint. No real compromises have to be made for space. That 130 corridor from Eastern Williamson County down to Caldwell will be exploding with growth and it'll spread out further east from there, well passed Elgin. Bastrop County will be posting the biggest population gains percentage wise for many years. West will keep trickling out but moving much faster in Burnet County which now will become part of the Austin Metro officially and will continue to integrate with Western Williamson County. For reasons not completely revealed, this entire area has been 'chosen' by many of great means and influence. This goes for the entire state as well. Whatever the future brings, much of it will be decided here.

Been living in North Austin for years now. My favorite area of Austin. Easy to get to different areas and lots of major places within a short drive.

Let's hope there's enough water to support this growth.

When I was shopping for my house in Austin in 2012 my daughter in middle school would look with me on the weekends.

We saw some great views from the West side homes outside of Austin. Then we would look in Barton Hills and Zilker and I said I love this area but the views aren't the same as the West Lake, Bee Cave area. My daughter put it perfectly: "Do you want a view or do you want to be the view?" I chose to be the view in Zilker.

We have watched a ton of videos and we absolutely love how well done they are and you should be proud of your hard work. We are thinking of Lakeway for our hill country experience, but still looking. Just saying, well done. Thank you for these informative videos.

I own a home in South Austin, and I've noticed in the last few months the unsolicited emails and text messages wanting to make an offer on my home have returned for the first since before the pandemic, when Austin real estate was hot circa 2018-2019.

I own Memorial Mini Golf on FM 1626, near circle C in Buda. Milestone is building 2300 homes and it took them over 5 years to get through the red tape because Buda resources can’t support tons of new homes and growth. Hoping in 5-10 years our 3.5 acres can help us retire.
