We Spent 10 days In Vietnam: Full Cost Breakdown

We tracked every single penny of 10 days in Northern Vietnam: flights, hotels, food, transport and tours - to show you exactly what a trip to Vietnam really costs for two people in 2026. No estimates, no "spending money not included" - just the honest, full breakdown. Everyone tells you Vietnam is cheap. Nobody tells you exactly how cheap. So we did: every flight, every hotel, every taxi, every beer, every last bánh mì, added up category by category until we got to one final number. Then we compared it to what the average Brit spends on a week in Spain… and it didn't go well for Spain. This is the final part of our Northern Vietnam series - Hanoi, Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh - where we did genuine 5-star hotels (one for £28 a night), an overnight Ha Long Bay cruise, and ate like royalty, all on a budget. If you've ever wondered whether Vietnam is actually as cheap as everyone says — here's your answer, to the penny. You'll have to watch to the end for the final number… and the Spain comparison that didn't go the way we expected. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 How much does 10 days in Vietnam really cost? 0:44 Flights (Air China review) 1:39 Hotels — including a £28 five-star 3:00 Food & drink — how cheap is it really? 4:40 Transport — buses, Grab & free bikes 5:17 Tours & activities — Ha Long cruise, Trang An 6:39 Extras — SIM, lounge & a brutal massage 7:22 The grand total 7:53 Vietnam vs a week in Spain 8:30 Would you pick Vietnam? 📺 WATCH THE FULL NORTHERN VIETNAM SERIES ▶️ Part 0 — Air China Flight Review: Is Air China Economy Actually That Bad?
