  Courtney, I have Cosmo Magazine type questions that I have just been thinking about...are Nate and your OP more similar or more opposite?  Do you appreciate their similarities more or their differences?  Kind of dumb questions I know.  But, thinking about it, if I had more than one partner I think I would want them to be more opposite, in good ways of course...not one nice and one psycho, not that kind of opposite.  I know you love who you love.  But if I were to concoct this scenario in a laboratory, that's how I would do it.  Maybe one artsy type and one more reserved business owner, but both fun loving and independent. That kind of opposite.

  Courtney, something I've noticed about polyamory content creators is the need to say that they are just as, if not more, focused on commitment than monogamous folks. This is confusing to me because I see commitment as inherently self-restraining. For example, if I commit to having lunch with a friend than I'm limiting myself to spend that time with that person versus any other alternative. So in my view monogamy, with joint finances, kids, etc, is a higher level of commitment compared to any individual relationship of someone who is polyamorous. This is not to say polyamorous people are more likely to break the spoken/unspoken rules in a relationship, but they tend to have less skin in the game than monogamous people. As someone who was formally monogamous and now polygamous, what are your thoughts on this perspective?

  Since you live in Germany I'm sure you are aware of recent attacks/attempts on the power grid there. When you two built you new home, did you include solar panels for backup in case of outages?

  C&N, sorry I got a little involved in hijacking your comments on an irrelevant topic.  Back to the topic at hand.  When when C&N are together with OP and his wife, what is the typical dynamic?  Is it like two married couples showing typical affection for their spouses in a group setting or is it more like basically no PDA by anybody and keeping it more like four platonic friends?  Is there a sort of unspoken (or maybe explicitly spoken) boundary around this?  Is the dynamic different when it is just the four of you vs when other family members are present?

  I &nbsp;am seriously hoping Nate/Courtney or anyone else following this series can explain something to me. &nbsp;Nate, your kids, your mother, London&apos;s wife, and maybe London&apos;s kids know Courtney and London are in love. &nbsp;They know you have a sexual relationship. &nbsp;They know Courtney and London are building a life together. &nbsp;<br><br>Nate has even driven Courtney to a hotel for sex with another man. &nbsp;So why does it feel so out of place for Courtney and London to flirt or show public affection in this situation? &nbsp;With the mountains moving in the background - sex, love, hotel nights together, &nbsp;families meeting, future living plans for Courtney and London, would it seem so, I am at a loss for words to describe my feelings - scary, disrespectful, whatever if Courtney and London had been all lovey/dovey during this visit?<br><br>Am I the only one that feels this way? &nbsp;How could a passionate kiss in this situation feel more unsettling and dangerous than London and Courtney&apos;s emotional/romantic/sexual connection and future plans? &nbsp;I am really struggling here, thinking I can really learn something about how and why I think the way I do. &nbsp;For some reason Courtney kissing Nate in this situations feels far more normal than Courtney kissing London.<br><br>Help!
