  My sister slept with a guy that I had dated. A few days after our first date, I was told that she had flirted and then slept with him. She knew we had dated, but she decided to go for it regardless  After sleeping with my sister, he called me for a second date. I DECIDED NEVER to see him again AND I NEVER EVER TRUSTED HER AGAIN. I NEVER FORGOT ABOUT HER BETRAYAL. Regardless of whether or not the guy and I were really into each other is irrelevant. What IS relevant is that she is my sister. Even though she knew the guy had been pursuing me and that he had asked me out on a date and that we had gone out on a date and that we had kissed, she still went for it. First she confirmed that he was the guy I had just gone on a date with. Then she said to our cousins, “If he liked her, he is about to love me.” An argument ensued between our cousins and my sister. I was not there. But, then she slept with him. Decades later I still don’t trust her. She always notices when men stare at me. I am oblivious most of the time when men check me out. But, she always notices. Regardless, I rarely am around her because being around people I don’t trust is NOT my cup of tea. Betrayal hurts most because it always comes from people you loved. Yes, I have forgiven her although she has never acknowledged she did something wrong. I forgave her for my own sanity. But, forgiveness doesn’t mean inclusion. I will never trust her. No thank you.

  I have 8 large dogs. Marnie is insane.  I don't expect my family who doesn't live with me to treat them like my kids or be attached to them like kids.

  As someone whose mother also assumed I was in the wrong in every situation no matter what, OP shouldn't bother talking to any of them ever again. Toxic people like that are bad for your health.

  Story 2 - It&apos;s ok to just see the dogs as beloved family pets. No reason to try to force anyone other than the pet owner to see them as children. I feel bad for Marnie because she truly loves her pets like kids. I agree grandma can put at least one picture of the dogs maybe the digital photo frame. If the siblings get upset then they are not the best siblings. Now...she would need to celebrate pet parents day and not mother&apos;s day. I draw the line there. Also she decided not to have actual children with her spouse. But honestly I have a dog and it&apos;s like having another child.
