I've been through tough times too. If you go to your lender and talk to them, most of the time they will work out something. If you hide or ignore them, well meet the repo guy! They want some money, not your car.

The two of them walked out of their house to drive somewhere and when they saw their Jeep gone they both
dejectedly looked at each other in the eyes and said "Recovery boyz" in perfect unison.

I understand that many of us go through bad unsuspecting times, but many buy expensive vehicles to include high-end ones that are way beyond their means. They then regret the payments that the salesman convinced them that they could manage.

Happened to a coworker in Grand Rapids back about 2003. She went to work on a Friday-day off, to get her check from the front office. She pulled up about 9:30, morning Break. Yep, one of those repo vans was tailing her. She went into the office, the van backed up the hooks and claws came out of the back. Car gone in less than a minute. Some guys were on break, out front and saw the repo happen.

Due to an unfortunate situation I had a car repo'd in the past. I caught up to the guy around the corner strapping it down. He thought I wanted to fight, I wanted to give him the key.
