  I bought my 80CF tank from the local welding supply. The first time I took it in to have it "refilled" is when I realized that I didn't own the tank, so much as the idea of the tank 🤣

  I recently bought myself a welder for Christmas and was a little surprised at the price of gas. In my area it is right at $500 to purchase an 80cf bottle of argon, around $100 to lease or 1.50 per day to rent. I’m going to lease for a year or so while I learn to weld

  I'm just trying to get started learning all this stuff so I've been watching a bunch of videos.  I have to say I immediately noticed the quality of your videos while welding.  Whatever filter you are using is resulting in high quality images that really show what's going on.

  I started with a torch set, then MIG in 84. Nitrogen was added to fix A/C at car repair. With 4 tanks, AirGas sticks you with fee’s for all. They sell welders, run tech’s, hobbyists, glass workers, artists and home shop guys out of the market. <br> &nbsp;This is new money for them!!<br>ASE Master Tech - 78

  Great content, well thought out and certainly useful. &nbsp;I was ASTM welding certified and served as a welder for my airline 36 years ago. Great stuff.

  At least with the company I got my gas cylinder from, they told me I could not move out of state with the cylinders if they were leased. So I had no option other than to purchase mine. Back in 2013, a 6hr (125cf) bottle was $325 and refill was $45. Today, no idea, still haven&apos;t had to refill it, welding kind of fell down for me. Hoping to take it back up this summer.

  I&apos;m in SC. The welding supply I use actually fills my tanks while I wait. &nbsp;This is the first shop I&apos;ve used &nbsp;that does that , I&apos;m 60.

  Acetylene cylinder size matters if you are using a lot of gas , the bigger the cylinder the faster you can take gas out due to it being dissolved in acetone. Just thought that was worth a mention.
