  As a black kid growing up, when this movie came out, it opened me up to a whole new sport. I never touched ice but for years, where I lived at the time. We played street hockey. We even had neighbourhood teams. Scheduled games. Brackets. Playoffs. In our second year all the parents put in for a big trophy that switched teams every year depending on who won the final game of the playoffs. Mighty Ducks changed our lives! Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack!

  Growing up in Minnesota in the 80's and 90's, everyone knew someone that was an extra in Mighty Ducks, and they'd tell you about it constantly. 😂

  This movie was the reason so many kids became hockey fans. Not just in North America, but around the world too.

  Street Hockey also exploded after this movie came out. Every kid I knew had a pair of roller blades and a hockey stuck

  I am a Black woman from Michigan. Never played hockey a day in my life. This was one of mine and my 3 sibling’s favorite movies as kids. We just introduced it to my brother’s kids this past Christmas and watched as a family. (They play hockey every week). They loved it. I still love it!

  As a kid growing up in rural Georgia, it was my introduction to hockey. It was the perfect storm for me. It was fun, fast paced, and the kids in the movie were exactly the same age as I was. I related to it so much. Now, I’m 46 and it’s still one of my favorite movies of all time! I’m also a diehard hockey fan to this day. I will forever cherish this movie and I’ve now passed it on to my kids, who also love hockey.

  I never considered this, but I wonder how much this movie contributed to the "roller blades" craze of the 90's. I lived in South Florida where the temperature hadn't approached freezing in anyone's living memory, yet for probably 4 summers in a row hockey was the main sport we played in our driveways, everyone of us on rollerblades, and everyone of us thinking imagining ourselves as the Mighty Ducks.

  This and NHL 94 made me a hockey fan as a poor indigenous kid living in the middle of nowhere in West Texas. No chance at playing hockey but I was a fan.

  I&apos;m 46. &nbsp;I watched the movie as a kid. &nbsp;But when I showed it to my kids, well, everything changed. &nbsp;I&apos;m now a hockey coach with two kids playing and I play hockey myself, and it&apos;s our favorite sport. &nbsp;Thanks Mike.
