  That attorney was able to djin up a remarkably good defense in a very short time—recognizing it was a turd of a case, too.

  You cannot expect defendants to take bond/probation conditions seriously if you're just going to give them a slap on the wrist every time they violate them.

  The fact that the Judge has to tell him his rights is a failure of the Public School System to have educated him about that and much more.

  This guy was just in court and he told him if he didn’t do what he was supposed to do. He was going to jail for 93 days. I remember it because he’s the one who says something about AA and the judge told him he wanted to see paperwork where he had been going to AA and he turned around and looked at his lawyer and then all of a sudden the lawyer said that he had not been to AA or NA classes and I said that if he did not abide by the court orders, or he was going to do 93 days in jail.

  As usual, a lot of barking then a whimper at the end. They don't bother with his orders because there are no, or very little consequences.

  Two crimes.  It sounds like he accomplished nothing he was ordered to do on probation.  Six days jail.  This is one of the reasons crime is out of control in the nation.  There's no consequences.
