  I remember my favorite thing about the first Die Hard when it came out, was the realism in how John McClain fought the bad guys.  Before this movie, pretty much every hero, whether cop, soldier or whoever, they always fought like they were martial arts masters, or professional boxers.  Die Hard finally had a protagonist that fought like your every day tough guy, with no formal martial arts training.  John McClain would bull rush into the bad guy, and just start wailing on them.  Screaming profanities as he did it.  It was vicious, raw and real.   It was awesome.  And you just didn't see that in movies of that time.

  the first FOUR movies, i think, make this the BEST action movie franchise...even better than Lethal Weapon and Rambo.

  Such a classic, ages like fine wine, Always thought that Bruce Willis had the best personality out of the 80's Sly and Arnie action heroes, hope he is doing well with his frontotemporal dementia and has a good Xmas 🎄 with his family watching his most best movie.

  Yes it is a perfect movie that came together and changed everything. Of course they had to fight for it all along the way, but that is why it works. Don't let the studios make the decisions, when you have someone like Joel Sliver fighting for you that meant something. I go by the Die Hard building all the time, kinda hard not to recognize it. Funny thing, in GTA V On-line, every Christmas, they have the Die Hard special event at the top of that building in the game, cops and helicopters all around and bad guys shooting at you, you have to go up there and get John's special gun.
