In Lucy's POV, it's an actual dream.
In Rover's POV It's another somnoire problem they need to solve.

For more context about Somnoire: it's an in-universe "program" in Wuthering Waves that automatically records and catalogs dreams, in an effort to find solutions to end/prevent a cyclical apocalypse called the Lament. Way early on in the game's story, Somnoire actually gets overloaded with dreams, and it starts spilling out into the world (WuWa's world is called Solaris-3). Some characters get trapped in their dreams, and one of the gatekeepers (of which there are two, Ivory and Ebony, who can appear as white and black cats respectively), tasks Rover with saving the trapped characters and resolving the issue. The gatekeepers do have power over dreams but they can't do everything themselves. I think it's mentioned by a character that Somnoire could be a "portal" to other universes, via dreams. There might be some more to it like how there might be an extremely powerful creature called a Threnodian that's trapped in the deepest levels of Somnoire that could cause corruption and anomalies like this and what happened to Lucy, but it's all speculation.

What Lucy experienced was definitely a dream *to her*, but to the world of Solaris-3 in Wuthering Waves, it was real. You can even visit the graffiti that Rebecca painted. However, everything from Somnoire that Rover faced, and even Rebecca and David themselves are all created by Lucy, in her dream. That's why Night City doesn't look quite right, why there's basically a train to the moon and why they can even breathe on the moon without spacesuits. It's also why Smasher is pretty much invincible: to Lucy, Smasher is an unstoppable monster. And it's why Smasher's Sandevistan can actually slow down time. To her perception, Sandevistan slows down time. And... it's also why Becca knows she's already dead.

Oh, another thing. In Wuthering Waves there is a place known as New Federation which I am pretty sure is based on Cyberpunk. Though we actually haven't had the pleasure of visiting it in-game yet, we've heard a lot about it from dialogue and text logs and from some characters who've been there or were born there. It's a dangerous, dystopian place. We've heard the names of at least one corporation (Novialle Regenerative Group). Mercenaries are the norm, similar to Night City's mercs, (Lynae, a character who interacts with Becca, was one). Initially, many players were expecting to go there and for that to be the setting for the collab.

No hate on Apex but you can see the difference between actual care and love handling a collab title vs what you usually get in this market.

It's not a happy ending. Happy endings aren't meant for Night City. But it was the closure everyone needed.

Genuinely the one of the best collab I've ever seen in gaming hands down

If not for the collab, I probably wouldn't have started playing Wuthering Waves. So I'm really glad that it happened because Wuwa is genuinely a great game. Very good combat system and writing too. If you played the main quests from the beginning, you could really notice how the writing improves after each act from around the end of Jinzhou chapters, it just keeps getting better and better from there. It's like they really found their footing from the Black Shores arc and they just keep trying something new from there.

I expected just a crossover, not episode 11😢

I did NOT expect this collab to go this hard on like, any level, but especially not narratively. I did not expect them to take Rebecca away from me a second time.

Then again, WuWa consistently blows me away with its writing at this point. It had a rocky start when the game started, but I feel like the writers pretty quickly stepped up and started telling less and showing more and ever since then it's been genuinely really great.

One thing to point out is Lucy chooses to dream of David before he was chromed out. Interesting bit i cried again just watching your video lol

The reason why Lynae clicks so well with Becca is because she herself was a former merc from New Federation. She managed to stole an ID of a Fractsidus agent, "Lynae", and claw her way over to Startorch Academy.

In short, Lynae is Becca if she managed to escape from Night City.

About canon or not it depend on you becuz they never confirm anything and in the end its all just her dream and it happy for her or just not let her be happy at all BUT Lucy knows Misty 100% canon. // This collab is the best collab we ever seen in gacha space
