Daredevil and Nightcrawler finding out that Moon Knight talks to Konshu is such a great idea for a comic lmfao

If I had a nickel for every Marvel superhero who's catholic yet associated with demonic imagery, uses a swashbuckling style of acrobatics, has a tendency to land absolute baddies, successfully stood in for Spider-man for a bit and has a problematic relationship with their mother.

Id have two nickels but WHAT?

Daredevil being tied to religion in such a contrasting way (Catholic dude dressed as the devil fights for good) will always be something I find fascinating. I'm not religious by any means, but it'd be crazy to imagine Daredevil without that aspect.

Contrasting Moon Knight with Daredevil on this one is really interesting, because at their core they are both violent men. Marc has said himself that his addiction is violence, much like Daredevil, but while Matt's faith pushes him to leave his violent nature behind, Khonshu demands violence as his worship. Really cool contrast between the two.

One of my favorite characters in DC is Azrael and I love how religion plays into his whole character, being brainwashed to believe he was an angel of vengeance and having to come to terms with the fact that he was lied to about who he was, later becoming a monk in sword of azrael to pursue his faith without the influence of the order of St. Dumas

I think Eddie Brock should be looked at too. Modern media kinda strayed away from it more but being Christian is important to his character.

My favorite religious moment in marvel is in a Thor comic where a priest goes up to Thor and asks him how he’s supposed to do what he does knowing that Thor exists

The religious aspect is exactly why I love Daredevil and Nightcrawler. The way that their morality is complicated through their being heroes and what they have to do to save people, plus the way that their trauma informs their beliefs. Very interesting stuff
