I found it was more cost affective to miss a few sales than try to kiln dry,<br><br>we have a few large 110v fans run from batteries powered by solar just blowing cold air over the barn stack

Insulated trailer boxes here in Nova Scotia are on average (converted to GBP) £4000-5000 each.<br>That rippling is due to the heat. Depending on the product installed, over time it will break down, warp more, crack and blister. <br>The results you generated for drying times (less crates = shorter cycle) is a direct result of reduced air flow due to increasing inventory inside the kiln. To max the volume space in the kiln with inventory you will need to add extra fans to boost air flow through the stacks. <br>You didn't mention using tarps to control air flow so I assume you are not using that additional method. It's worth considering, have a look at the set up we have for the small firewood kiln we built <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhSK6_0vlL8&t=749">https://youtu.be/GhSK6_0vlL8?t=749</a> It's a low temp kiln, I keep temps no more than 35-36ºC.
