This is a massive restoration of a 1973 makeup tutorial film which was mostly silent and severely faded. I’ve manually re-timed the motion to 48fps and used a period-correct Eastman color grade to restore the original vibrancy. I found the script and set about creating a new soundtrack with a brand-new voiceover by artist Marion Braithley. The voiceover and soundtrack is stylized to emulate the era. New music by Hara Roda. A genuine beauty tutorial as actually taught to women in the early Seventies. Enjoy.

I absolutely love how this model looks like a real person and not the unrealistic filtered standard we have today.

Three coats of nail polish in 1973. I bet those nails are still drying. 💅

Great job. I was actually a teenager in 1973. It seems different watching a video about a time that I was actually alive in, lol.

I was 22 in 1973 and still apply my makeup this way, except now I use a sponge to blend liquid makeup and lighly dust loose powder with a brush. I have to be mindful of wrinkles now.

“Lift and separate” was the same phrase they used to sell<br>us bras in the 70’s and 80’s.

<i><b>"Some skin prefers a cream foundation"</b></i><b></b> Did you hear that, Estée Lauder🤷🏻♀️? Some skin prefers certain texture. It' s not a trend but a need. <br>Leslie already knew it 50 years ago. <br>Thanks for another gem, Glamourdaze 🖤.

My dear Mother sent me to Charm School as a young girl. That was so much fun and gave me great confidence as I grew into adulthood. I can handle myself without being anxious in society. I met great friends I still see today in my old age…what fun we had, what lovely ladies we are & were ❤
