Something key that you left out when talking about the SNL skit is that the guys didn’t solely fire Ned because he lied about his brand and betrayed them. They fired him because he was the boss and had an affair with an employee. Even if  Ned’s brand wasn’t “the wife guy,” the guys would have still had to fire him for sexual harassment. SNL has a history of minimizing workplace harassment on and off camera, and they reminded us with that skit.

Snl is apparently ok with management sleeping with employees. Very revealing of the culture at 30 rock

What people didn’t understand about Ned’s removal is that it wasn’t about the groups friendship, It was about an ILLEGAL power dynamic that was genuinely, illegal. Even if the guys wanted to keep their friend on set, they couldn’t because of the legality of Ned’s and Alex’s positions as boss and worker.

This is the first time I've heard the extent of the bs BuzzFeed pulled & now I understand why "Why I Left BuzzFeed" is an actual YouTube genre 😅

As a pharmacist and biology major Ned’s journey from chemist to YouTube makes so much sense. I knew so many guys like Ned in school.

Its so crazy how Buzzfeed failed because they didnt care for the individual employee and their goal was to grow their brand and Dropout thrived because they allowed their employees creative freedom and treats them well to where it created a type of family and everyone loves them truly comradery was the answer its so stupid how simple the answer was

The big drama was that Ned (the big boss) was cheating with a paid contracted employee and he was also the self promoted head of their HR department, which is one of the most legal nightmares possible for a company. And also for Alex. It wasn’t about just cheating on your wife. It was a power unbalanced relationship that put the entire company at legal risk, that would have also left the guys in financial ruin, if Alex decided to sue and blame them.

btw, it wasnt zach who wanted to leave the try guys. it was just eugene. eugene had already had it planned out to leave because he was working on actual mainstream movies and all these other projects, but he decided to stay another two years after the cheating scandal. there was nothing that was said that zach wanted to leave. :)
