  Half-Life Alyx is indeed a VR game. Many of the design decisions for the soldiers are probably due to this fact, because with VR, you generally have fewer, slower enemies. Also, in VR you pay more attention to details and scale.

  Hey, thanks for checking this out. I&apos;ll clarify some things for you without spoiling too much of the story. Half-Life: Alyx is a prequel to Half-Life 2. The units you see in this video are completely absent from Half-Life 2. However, these units were the finalised design philosophy for the Combine (specifically the Ordinal. However, the mask designs were consistent between the Ordinal, Grunt, and Wallhammer) that were used when they were creating the finalised Combine Soldiers seen in HL2. <br><br>Besides that, I hate to be a bother, but I once again have another suggestion, and this time, it&apos;s two videos that I recommend watching back-to-back, one after the other. Both of them are: <br><br>Every Historical Inaccuracy in &apos;Call of Duty: World at War&apos;<br>We Fixed CoD World at War&apos;s Historical Inaccuracies<br><br>Both by the creator &apos;The Frosty 1&apos;, they&apos;re both pretty short videos, but I don&apos;t recommend watching them in one video. Instead, split it into 2 parts per video. If you do end up putting them in one video, the runtime should be roughly forty or so minutes with the two combined. &nbsp;Also, a head&apos;s up, the narrator has a very thick Irish accent. However, both videos have correct subtitles if you happen to need them.<br><br>The last thing I wanna say is that if you haven&apos;t played Call of Duty: World at War on the channel, I highly recommend you do. I think you&apos;ll enjoy it

  I think the numbers game is a coms code, used to make sure the coms network is still active/secure and validating that these units are still active and alive; then they pass the check to the next unit.
