  Mitch, since you are the one that will probably do the most work on the actual car if needed, I’m gonna address this to you. Whenever you work in a wheel arch or under suspension components with the wheel off, please please put a wheel under the car so if the hydraulic jack fails the car will land on the wheel and not you.<br>A torque wrench is very good to have, but do remember to twist it back to zero to release pressure pressure on the spring to keep it accurate.<br>Really nice work with the car both of you and I am glad you put the helper springs back in.<br>Cheers

  REMEMBER, the pouch over your heads WILL sag lower over time. Try weaving some good bungee cord from front to back in a zigzag pattern.

  Maybe behind your utensils holder your need a security mesh grill , one to protect your back window from possible getting smashed &nbsp;by the forward and back movements of the utensils holder and two for security of your build

  Fantastic job you two! We overlanded through Africa from 2006-2009 and absolutely loved it. &nbsp;Lots of challenges, but that&apos;s partly what made the journey so amazing. We&apos;re Americans but bought our Land Cruiser in Matlock, England and had a great guy (Matt Savage) do all the conversions. &nbsp;We went down the West Coast then back up the East Coast. &nbsp;One thing that we did before we left - and now do to all of our overland vehicles - is installed security film on the windows. &nbsp;Have you considered this? Or does the landy already have it? It saved us during an attempted carjacking on the Namibia/Angola border. &nbsp;Definitely consider this if you haven&apos;t already. It&apos;s a great investment in your safety! Have an amazing journey! I look forward to following you!

  Your Defender is very light; mine weighs 2455 kg empty, without interior fittings, with a full tank, and without passengers! You&apos;ve given me lots of good ideas, as I still have the interior fittings to do. Best wishes from Switzerland. :thanksdoc:

  Swing away spare wheel holder.<br>You need one.<br>The weight of the wheel and the vibrations on the road and the dust will destroy those rear door hinges.

  OOh definitely need to seal the bottom of that rear door properly otherwise you&apos;ll have a lot of dust coming in the back while driving due to the wind &nbsp;creating a pressure differential due to the brick shape of the thing haha
