Hey Frost, just wanted to voice what I know about the whole short-form content thing

I’m currently studying biomedical engineering at a university and I recently did a paper on short form content. My research yielded multiple studies showing a direct correlation between doomscrolling and negative effects on motivation and attention span. Our brains are trained to release dopamine when receiving new information, so the overly rapid influx of information results in an irregularly high amount of dopamine. Since we don’t get that level of dopamine doing everyday things or watching a longer video (where we receive information at a slower rate), it results in a higher inability to complete everyday tasks. I believe you are right when you say we’ve always been this way, meaning attracted to slop, but short-form content does create a very real deficit in attention span, especially in younger people who’s brains are still developing. Hope this helps!

Pre-nerf synchronize was probably my pick for most satisfying defect card, getting +4 or +8 focus on any amount of orbs feels so good but especially if you have bonus orb slots and a bunch of frost

Your hair reminds me of the mother who smoked ciggs during Christmas but simultaneously told her kids to hold up their gifts so they can show everyone what they got.

10:06 I just pressed the “show me fewer shorts” on the shorts recommended on the homepage twice then refreshed, haven’t seen a single short be recommended for like 2 weeks now.
