Please show the pictures of the sweaters for longer than brief flashes. I want to look at them while you're making your comments. Thanks! Love these pattern reviews 😊

Loved your “emperor’s new clothes” and “herd mentality “ comments. How true.

It is so refreshing to get an honest opinion on the more popular designers from a podcaster. I 100% agree with you on the Ooey Gooey.

The Kintra line is beautiful. Rebecca also generously donated all the proceeds from the Kintra around Christmas to donate to the Fistula Foundation for women suffering with fistulas (mostly in NE Africa). Brilliant group/work. Women helping other women.

“Shed like a mo fo”. God, I love your channel, only recently found it and I’m obsessed. 🤩 gone back and binged all of your videos. As a fellow Australian, it’s so refreshing to watch your no nonsense straight to the point videos. I’m in Melbourne and we had two days of 43° here this week and of course the hideous bushfires. 😢 stay cool 😎

I love your honesty!!😊 I so appreciate that you’ve recognized the cost to make some of these garments using the designers recommended yarns. Thankfully, we have other yarn options. But it’s definitely important to mention the costs, especially for larger sized garments. Happy Crafting! 🧶

🌴☀️thanks for another great video!!!

It is my opinion that Andrea uses extremely expensive yarns almost (I did say almost) exclusively. When deciding whether to purchase a pattern the designers photo & yarn choices play a huge part in whether I purchase or not ( I love deep earth tones ), which goes hand in hand with considering the yarn she used.

That being said I’ve only used the yarn she recommended with 1 of her patterns ( I have like 10 ), and that is the NightShift in Sept 2024 & even then, for the first and only time I bought 2 skeins of SpinCycle and 1 La Bien or whatever you call it yarns. I used tons of my leftover yarns with those 2 yarns & it finished beautifully.

As an advanced knitter I’m blessed to understand fiber & almost never use the recommended yarns but I’m so glad you mentioned how expensive choosing her yarn choices over and over can get. Alas, that’s the market she targets & she wants it to also look aesthetically pleasing color wise so there you have it🤭. So learn about fiber it’ll save you thousands over the course of your knitting journey ☀️🌴

The DRK Everyday Cardi - with the button band, I saw on a YT video that if you sew your button onto the fabric without any type of shank or gap, when you button it, the button hole band has nowhere to 'sit' and just gets squished between a button and the fabric which then creates that scalloped looking edge. Sewing on a button and making a shank with the thread allows room for the button hole band to sit between the button and the fabric.

I knit the Rosie Sweater. The color work is all knit in the round., the construction is very different and was fun to knit.
