A powerful warning we all need to hear. May we never let wealth and comfort take us away from God. 🙏

Two honest corrections.

Bathsheba is not blamed in the text. 2 Samuel 11 places every action on David. He saw, he inquired, he sent, he took. Nathan's parable in chapter 12 identifies her explicitly as the victim, the poor man's lamb. Using her story to warn women about dressing modestly shifts blame from perpetrator to victim in a way the text itself refuses to do.

The donkey speaking in tongues as a deflation of the gift is a category error. Numbers 22 is miraculous animal speech in a known language. The New Testament gift of glōssa is something entirely different. Using a donkey to diminish it contradicts Poonen's own testimony about tongues in other messages.

The core warning stands. These corrections matter.
