Ben, I just want to tell you that out of every countdown maker out there, you were the one that convinced me the most to become one myself. Sure I had others as inspirations, but you were the one I enjoyed me the most. I’ll always be thankful for all that you have contributed and I hope you succeed in whatever you decide to do from here. Thank you for 10 years man.

Man, that intro had 13-year-old me smiling like an idiot. What a throwback. I kinda figured this would be the topic for your 10th anniversary video, and you didn't disappoint. It feels weird to say, but I more or less grew up with your vids when I started using YT many years ago. Thanks for the memories, and here's to 10 more years, Ben! I'll be sticking around your channel for years to come.

As Asgore is my favorite boss in Undertale, I was really happy to see him!

There's two things that weren't mentioned that makes me love his battle even more:
-The options you're given in the battle mirrors Toriel Battle. In both battles, Acting is useless. In Toriel's Battle, you must Fight or Spare, while in Asgore battle you can only Fight.
And they both have a Talk option in the Act menu, with a similar secret...
If you kill Toriel, reload your save, and Talk, it says: "You thought about telling Toriel that you saw her die. But... That's creepy."
And if you die in the Asgore fight and Talk in the next attempt, it will say "You tell ASGORE that he's killed you once before. He nods sadly."
-And if you eat Toriel's pie during his battle, the smell reminds Asgore of something, and his stats drop.

There's so many cool things about his battle.

As a person who’s been a sort of lurker in the countdown community since nearly the beginning, hearing the old intro music again put a really goofy smile on my face.

Happy 10th anniversary, Ben!

Thanks for 10 years, Ben. Ever since I was a little boy, I've watched your countdowns and loved all of them. Growing up with the channel was amazing, and I was introduced to several amazing games through this channel. I am so happy to be a part of the community I once dreamed of joining, and your friendly and kind personality have played a part in who I am today. Let the one winged black mage stay strong til the end! 👏😁

btw i made a commemorative video to celebrate ;)

...Okay, that Hades transition was genius.

While I've never played a Devil May Cry game, I've been able to see through that entry and various other games that the dynamic drastically shifts when you fight the main protagonist. I can tell how much of a big deal it is without even playing it.

I wanted to go ahead and list some of my favorite bosses as well (spoilerific names will have aliases) in no particular order (I'm mostly listing them as I think of them). Most of these will be final bosses and will be labeled as such.

Final Aegis fight (Xenoblade 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country) (my personal #1)

Final Boss (Metroid Dread)
The Snatcher (A Hat in Time)
Final Boss (Fire Emblem: Three Houses (Azure Moon))
Final Boss (Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl)
Either Asgore or True Pacifist Final Boss (Undertale)
Either The Beast or Final Boss (Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling)
Final Boss (Dust: An Elysian Tail)
Final Boss (Sonic and the Black Knight)
Either Penultimate or Final Boss (Mother 3)
Either Ninetails or Final Boss (Okami)
Final Boss (Kirby: Planet Robobot)
Either Gulp or Final Boss (Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage! (Reignited))
Megaleg (Super Mario Galaxy)
Final Boss (Kid Icarus Uprising)

Okay, Ben. While I subbed for countdowns years ago, I had no idea what I was in for when it came to reviews. You are absolutely someone who is passionate about the games you review. You managed to expose me to Dust and A Hat in Time and I can't thank you enough for that. It was also fun learning that we both want to be game developers someday.
Here's to more years of Black Mage Benjamin!
