  Hugh Hefner touting himself as a champion of women&apos;s liberation while actually doing all that abuse reminds me of Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator/ <i>Avengers</i> director Joss Whedon. 😢

  The fact that Hugh Hefner hasn&apos;t faced any consequences while he was alive, it&apos;s really disappointing but I mean he&apos;s living in a special place in hell. So that has to count for something. I understand why the victims came out until after his death and I hope no one blames the victims for waiting so long

  Just for clarity: The show The Girls Next Door specifically focused on Hef’s three girlfriends at the time: Bridget, Holly, and Kendra. &nbsp;“Bunnies” are the women who worked at the Playboy Clubs and wore the bunny costume. Playmates are women who posed nude for the magazine. I used to sneak watch this show when I was 11-13 years old, and I’ve recently been rewatching it at age 30 after hearing the women speak about their experiences after Hef’s death. Definitely a different viewing experience 😅

  I read Crystal Harris’s memoir a few months back. Anytime she talked about Hugh all I could think was “Has anyone ever told this man no?”

  I knew Playboy must have had a dark underbelly, but its really depressing just how many women were abused. The shadow mansions and forced drugging of women is horrible. There&apos;s also no telling how many people were silenced or what stories weren&apos;t told even now. The real sucky thing is that Hugh Hefner never faced any consequences.<br><br>Behind the scenes it seems it was more of a prostitution racket that masqueraded as being more classy than it real was. It makes you wonder if the other porn magazines were better or worse with their abuse behind the scenes.
