  I've done 5 cruises on the QM2 to and from Southhampton. I now get my internet for free for future cruises. On my last cruise Nora virus was rampant through the ship and got me also. I have never been so sick in a 24 hour period. I barfed so much and crapped everything out, it was like a total body reset. 6 elderly people died on that cruise. We were confined to our cabins for the last 2 days. We could only get room service. We did get our total money back from Cunard. They are good that way. I was 56 at the time. And I have no problem going back. I have a dog now and its the only cruise line that lets you take your dog. Other than that experience, it was amazing. Great thing about QM2 is that it is peaceful. Its not a party cruise or a disney for kids cruise. Its an older crowd. We cruised once on the Norwegian Pearl. Back then it was tolerable to be around drunk people and obnoxious kids. For those who don't want that, I highly recommend the QM2. I must say, the food on the Pearl was slightly better and had more 24 hour eating places including 24 hour pizza. The QM2 only has one 24 hour place and fortunately it was a fish and chip place. I am doing a world cruise in 2027 with my dog. Time to save.

  We really enjoyed the food on QM2 but don’t think we got to try enough of it! Breakfast always filled us up so we never ate anything until dinner. Tell a lie, we did have a sandwich one afternoon. I think the pounds we gained came from the cocktails rather than the food. Next time we must try better and eat more!
