  Casi knew what she was doing. She knew which baby had nursed and when. If she really never let Calvin ever nurse he would have died the first 2 or 3 days. She had him almost 3 weeks. And the only reason she ended up leaving him with chicko was when he started to get greedy and got bigger than Celine and was hurting her and pushing her out. Had he been less demanding and fell in line with his place as an orphan and being lucky and grateful for every single suck of milk he got and stopped trying to push Celine out he probably would of gotten more nursing time and casi would of kept him. He was his own worst enemy here. But in that heat and humidity,  he would have died much sooner if casi was really "starving" him. She didn't let him just sit and nurse and suck whenever he wanted or when it was nap time because he wasn't her baby. That was Celines place to be cuddled and nurse and held whole she was napping during the day. Calvin got his feeding and then was out in the back behind Celine.  She took him and gave him milk enough to survive and carried him along to ensure he was safe. She wasn't obligated as a wild animal to show love and tenderness to another monkeys offspring.  That is a human thing, that isn't how wild animals think or behave. I think that's what people in the comments don't always remember,  they look at and respond how they as a human would, not a wild monkey would.

  If Calvin’s mother wanted him back she would be stalking Cassie like other mothers do when their babies are taken and she is nowhere to be seen so evidently she does not care. This is a sad situation I’m so sorry little Calvin

  I don&apos;t understand how Calvin can&apos;t see and find &nbsp;casi niple but yet he can follow her around so he can see her .....!!!!!

  No matter how she came by baby Calvin. &nbsp;Sadly, If he isn’t strong enough to get milk he will die. &nbsp;Only the strong survive. And her obligation is to her baby.
