  As a westerner, the idea of owning your own place and having it paid off by 35 years old AND it's in such a peaceful and honestly beautifully kept location is really nice.

  Bizarre that a city of 20 million is considered a 'ghost city'. That's 75% of the entire population of Australia !!

  You are very blessed to have a nice apartment, a car and job. I just watched the documentary about the poor people who live in 'coffin' apartments in Hong Kong. Their apartments are a little bigger than a coffin. After watching this documentary, and other documentaries about how the poor live, I vowed NEVER ever to complain about what I don't have but be thankful for what I do have.

  Home loans here are usually 30 years, and most people can't afford the down payment until they are in their 30's, so it's unusual to pay off your mortgage until you are in your 60's. So if you can have your home paid off before 40, you're way ahead.

  Hello Xiaoyu, first time I have seen your channel thank you.<br>I have seen this Ghost city before on another channel,I think by the time you have paid off your mortgage that place will be very busy with lots people living there and your apartment will be worth more money,by the way your apartment is very nice indeed,nicely furnished.   Strangely, this is a lot like suburban life in North America. &nbsp;Out in the middle of nowhere and needing a car to get anywhere, waiting for infrastructure to fill in around you.

  My rental apartment in Austria, in Vienna, in a suburb, is 58 square meters and costs 1,000 USD per month, plus additional costs for heating, trash collection, and water. When I look at apartments of the same size in the same district now, the rents are at least 1,200 USD. Condos are no longer affordable for singles with average to slightly above-average incomes. So your starting point isn’t bad at all.

  Ummm I believe it’s sooooo much nicer in ghost city than most areas in China Ive seen…such green space beautiful actually apartment looks nice
