  I came here to try to decide which I prefer but now I want both! 😅 The watercolors look beautiful but I prefer more saturated colors.

  you absolutely can build your alcohol markers darker, just let them dry in between layers

  i like alcohol based more because it doesn't rip up my paper like water based

  i love coloring, but i needed to choose water based markers because alcohol markers was giving me headache and throat pain

  Think im going to try water markers on water color paper, with a brush and water to lightly blend. Alcohol markers seem so much less forgiving

  You did such a beautiful job showing the difference to someone like me who is not an artist but just wanted to color paper to cut out mini orchids. I wanted to paint like you since I was a kid, 52 now. Never had the talent. Few yrs ago began playing around with miniatures for my 79 A frame Barbie house. Trying to figure out how to make orchids for her table and there's so many ways. Some use watercolor markers to color printer or tissue paper I didn't want to spend unnecessary money if i'm not going to use them much. TY!!

  To eliminate pen smears... have you tried &quot;Uni-ball signo 207&quot; series pens? Designed for fraud protection, archival and legal work.<br>Several &nbsp;colors, smooth ball point, no bleed or spread on paper.

  Thank you for the video and explaining some core differences! One thing I love about alcohol markers is I find it easier to blend compared to water based markers. I really like how simple water based markers are though and they&apos;re cheaper. I also like that I can scribble water based markers on a plastic sheet and then use a wet paint brush to get a water colour effect, or wet the paper first and dot point the water based marker. So I really like that mixed media type aspect to it. I love them each for their differences!

  I have the full set of Ohuhu alcohol markers but decided to order the full set of water based tonight just to try them out. I’ve seen that they are a nice base on double sided coloring books with colored pencil on top for shading. As long as you don’t over color an area with the marker it won’t ghost if the paper is good enough quality. I’m excited to get my water based tomorrow! Great video!
