  Great to hear you're still into it, despite having access to all the other headsets since. I've been using my VR1 daily since December 2024. Absolutely love the visuals. Can't imagine using anything else.

  I should pull out my VR1 again.... lately I had no time for VR, or games for that matter, but this video makes me want to go flying for a bit. So there is at least someone watching who think that VR1 is for him.

  I settled on a Play for Dream as OLED blacks and integrated pass through for my sim cockpit is a must.

  Awesome vid Steve! The VR1 certainly looks like a headset that can still hold its own against the competition. I just wish the headset designer.....VR Engineers....would give us some news about any progress on their next flagship headset using HyperVision lenses. I'm ready to sell my kidneys for a HyperVision headset lol.

  Should have some type of small greenscreen behind the yoke so it can be shown in the simulator without any of the other background stuff.

  Its a blast from the past for sure! I didn't mind the visuals of VR1 in daylight scenes but I just can't stand any non-OLED for night. I also really had an issue with the way it fit my face, I had to have it kind of sitting on the end of my nose to get in the sweet spot. Obviously that is probably a "Me" thing as fortunately, not many people have my ugly mug LOL. I'm assuming the new comfort kit probably wouldn't alleviate that?

  Hello,im a beginning combat flight enthousiast and im currently on a good aeromax stick and throttle plus rudders from T16000m set,o love helicopters,but i have eye or headtracking,and no vr yet!Now my question should i straight up buy the new pimax oled 8k micro oled,or the 57ppd version,its only for dcs,Arma warthunder and hopefully ace combat 8,very curious also can i use it for hours at a time and how heavy are tjey on ur knecks?love your videos,u gibe great info,without 1000 uhms and sidetracking,😂

  Question: What's the point of having extreme brightness in a VR headset, when one would wear sunglasses or a helmet with a dark visor in real live sunlight anyway?

  Don't take it personnaly Steve... but did you notice the big yellow crosses painted on the runway ? That must be why it's bumpy 😬😁😉

  Steve, do you know where I can find instructions on how to install the Studioform comfort kit mods to my VR1? Mine came with no instructions and I can't find a video for this on their YouTube channel. Thanks for posting!
