Everyone in the engine bay saw grease-stained coveralls and assumed he was only a civilian engineer. They did not realize they were watching a Human Rear Admiral choose humility over authority while the ship’s survival depended on his knowledge.

The fact that nobody in the engine bay knew who the human really was makes this even more intriguing. He was just fixing their ship like it was another ordinary day—until Earth Command answered his hail. I’m curious what happened when the crew realized the “mysterious mechanic” they had been ignoring was someone Earth clearly knew very well.

This one really pulled me in. I loved how nobody in the engine bay realized who the human engineer truly was until Earth Command answered his hail—that reveal gave the whole story such a powerful shift. The mystery, the respect he earned, and the way his true importance slowly came into focus made the payoff incredibly satisfying. Good story. Didn't click ahead in the story like i do on a lot of other story tellers on youtube who spew non sense and take for ever to get to the dang point. This story actually kept me listening to every part. A lot packed into a 58 minute story. Thanks for sharing
