  I still remember how Mizu5 released at a time where i was in the closet. I kept my trans identity a secret to my parents, fearing theyd lose whatever little love they had left for me. Hiding who i was made me distant to my parents. When i read Mizu5, it was like it perfectly replicated the time my parents found my secret accounts and essentially outed me. Mizu5 literally haunted me for months on end becuse of how accurate it was. Mizuki&apos;s struggles felt so real, that fear of the people you love suddenly seeing you differently once you come out, how they might feel like they NEED to adjust to you. Her relationship with Ena made me feel so many emotions. If you didnt know, a few months after Mizu5 another event reffered to as Ena5 was released which eas where Ena properly shares her feelings and reactions to mizuki. She reassuees mizuki that no matter what, she&apos;ll always see her as mizuki. That she wasnt kind to her because she HAD to, she was kind to her because they were (girl)friends. Mizuki doesnt believe she deserves Ena&apos;s kindess or anyone&apos;s, but Ena reminds her that Niigo(the unit shes in) will always be waiting for her. No matter what happened, Mizuki was Mizuki. She was still the girl playful girl who loved cute things and her friends. I personally thought the message of &quot;Mizuki is Mizuki&quot; Sk heartwarming. Many have said that its like really bad since it skirts around the idea shes trans, but sometimes, being subtle about representation can help bring an even more impactful message. Had the message been any different, I dont think her story wouldve hit as hard as it actually did. <br><br>Though i wouldve loved for Mizuki to be confirmed as trans, im still happy about the subtle representation she had. It helped bring a beautiful message that in my opinion, can be applied to anyone, not just trans people. Honestly, Mizuki has skme of the best subtle trans representation ive seen in a while

  You make a lot of good points. In an ideal world, trans representation would be a mix of loud and subtle. Different trans people discuss their identity in different ways and that should be represented. It&apos;s worth thinking about the overarching story, a narrative driven story is more likely to have discussions/characters who openly discuss their gender identity and could be seen as &quot;loud&quot; but other stories in less narrative driven games (like fighting games etc) it&apos;s less likely to be a focus. <br>Ultimately though, your final point is the big one. We need more trans representation in media, and written in a realistic way with consideration to the character and the trans community.<br>(I&apos;m a cis gay male so I&apos;m not speaking for the trans community just my view on how they are represented).

  Mizu5 was literally so influential to the internet lmao people who deny them being trans are sky high on copium. I just hope they expand a little more on that in mizu6 and not offscreen it like they did in ena5, esp since they were backstaged with kana5 and mafu6

  as a trans person myself - a lot of times the representation depends on the origin company and/or culture it is originating from. so usually they have to work with what they have available. as an example i&apos;ll give hyun-ju from squid games - she was played by a cis male actor and it caused a lot of controversies. but the country has barely a handful of queer celebrities, and i think her character was portrayed very good on many levels by the actor that was chosen in the end. in a country such as south korea, where being trans is such a taboo, the directors cooked so well WITH WHAT WAS AVAILABLE TO THEM. and as such, my personal opinion is, every representation that does a decent job portraying a trans person with resources and culture it has to work with, should be appreciated, no matter loud or quiet, every step helps normalize our existence to a larger audience.

  To clarify on Bridget: It&apos;s not that she was raised as a girl, it&apos;s that her parents raised her to know that she had to pretend to be a girl to evade their village&apos;s superstition. &nbsp;She knew she was AMAB the entire time.

  The lack of trans men is really terrible as well. As a trans woman, sure I&apos;m glad there&apos;s so much representation for us but damn the trans men representation is kinda absent.

  Kris Dreemurr from deltarune is another trans representation that infuriates me about how the fandom treats them. Kris exclusively uses they/them the entire time but people insist that you can just choose to interpret them with whatever gender you want bc they&apos;re the player character. When a major part of Kris&apos; theme is about them NOT being the player and having their own life that we&apos;re cruelly over riding- and then players turn around and override their pronouns! Especially because there are LOADS of characters using they/them or it/its in deltarune and undertale. Hell there&apos;s a mini boss who is a ghost catgirl and all her dialogue is about being happier in her new body. So much gender in those games....

  As a trans guy, I like the more subtle approach to transness in media because it’s accurate to a lot of trans people’s reality. A lot of trans people aren’t going around declaring they’re trans if they can help it. And a lot of someone’s trans story is silent. Behind closed doors.

  another VERY good instance of trans representation is kris from deltarune, who&apos;s non binary-ness actually doubles as a way to forward the games themes. deltarune is heavily about the relationship between the player and the character they control. kris&apos; preference of they/them serves as a commentary on how cis people dismiss non binary identities and personhood by showing that through a lens of the self insert character trope. there&apos;s a lot of people to this day that insist kris&apos; use of they/them is actually just so the player can insert their own pronouns in its place and by doing that they miss the point entirely. kris is not non binary for the comfort of the player, they&apos;re non binary for themselves and its a very clever deconstruction of how real life queer people experience similar erasure. (im not very good at explaining things but i hope i got the idea across)

Most of us suffer and are misgendered if we don&apos;t &nbsp;pass. And also problems with finding a romantic partner

  Im not trans, but i am neurodivergent and Mizuki&apos;s struggles with not being accepted and feeling alienated was so relatable to me even if it was for diffrent reasons, she is absolutly one of my favorite charcters in PJSK and im so glad she was in this video as i think shes really well written and overall just awesome. To be honest its really painful to feel alienated and scrutinized for just being who you are and it feels like mizuki really represented alot of that feeling in her story making her really relatble to me.
