  I don&apos;t have an answer for Toph being a bender when her parents weren&apos;t. As far as I can tell it&apos;s only sort of genetic. In the episode wit the fortune teller, we meet a pair of twins and only one of them is an earth bender. Neither of Katara&apos;s parents were water benders, and the only grandparent we see isn&apos;t either. Neither is Sokka. There&apos;s Paku, but I&apos;m almost certain he&apos;s not related to them.<br><br>Azula not being able to break out of Katara&apos;s ice prison was because she didn&apos;t know the Breath of Fire technique that Iroh taught Zuko. She was also a lot more confined then he was too. He had an air bubble in the ice ball and he was able to get out because he had room to move. Melting through the ice to get out of the water was also because he knew how to better control what little fire he was able to produce. Instead of generating a flame, he was able to concentrate the heat into the ice and break through.

  Actually I’ve been thinking about that, normally people say because she ran mad, but I think there was a bit more to it, Azula cried in that part with never shown before in the other series, it was almost as though she just gave up fighting like there was no use to it; those tears said more emotions than anything in dat series, she was surrendering and perhaps she knew she was surrounding, and the burst of blue flames she blew from her mouth were almost trying to tell her almost not to surrender.

  1- if you can kill a dragon then you are a great fire bender<br>2- The library was above ground and wan shi ton hit his last straw with aangs gangs.<br>3- &nbsp;its up for interpretation, your favorite color of the 2 can be Irohs dragon. <br>4- He cut the shackles and used his blue spirit aura<br>5- yes, when non benders have a certain spiritual alignment they can learn bending this is why all air nomads can bend <br>6- left for interpretation properly fighting somewhere else. <br>7 - Women are forbidden to bend for sport, only healing <br>8- because she never learned the dragon breath from uncle iroh<br>9- yes, yes. <br>10- just your opinion.<br><br>I think this is a fish for comments but okay ill take the bait.

  If u recalled in the south when Katara came to ask for lessons a prodigy strictly forbade her from learning, back then woman rights were oppressed and therefore maybe she never really got a chance to learn water bending, but honestly I think katara would have been the next after if Aang had died.
