I'm starting van life this week! I was going to go to San Diego but just in the early stages I wanted to make sure my van is going to be ok, so (I live in Phoenix, AZ) I'm headed up to Northern AZ (Sedona/Flagstaff) areas first, gonna celebrate my 50th bday on the 16th up there w/a couple of friends and then after about a month, come back to Phoenix for a minute, THEN headed to Palm Springs and San Diego...it's gonna be a wild ride to start the next and new chapter of my life!

Sometimes the street lights can charge your solar panels too depending on your panels!! I've stayed there before.

How about build a foamie box out of a bunch of pieces of 4x8 x2 rigid foam boards stick them together with spray foam and poor man's fiberglass, coat with roll on fiberglass resin for UV protection.<br>End up with a giant insulated foam box to mount to a flatbed van.<br>Would be R 20 walls R 80 ceiling <br>The box would be strong but yet featherlight to give you amazing gas milage and less energy used to heat and cool.<br>Double stick the 2 inch thick foam boards to get 4 inch thick walls to have R 20 insulation value<br>Just some thoughts
