"Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" is a must if for nothing else than to see how Guy Ritchie progressed from that one to this one. It's brilliant indie filmmaking with tons of style right out of the gate.

There was a time I was going to visit my brother. I told him I was bringing a movie I wanted him to see. He said he had a movie he wanted to show me, as well. I get to his house. I had Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. He had Snatch. Safe to say, we're Guy Ritchie fans.

Every time I see this I wish Jason Statham at least kept doing some non-action stuff. He's got great comedic timing, and he's damned solid everywhere else

So, fun fact, the actor who plays Brick Top, Alan Ford emulated both of his personal friends, Ronnie and Reggie Kray. The twins were gangsters in the 1960s known for being heavily violent and mad as a bag of spiders. Ford was friends with them as well as a number of London-based celebrities of that era, including the late Barbra Windsor.

this script is actual genius. a series of one liners, strung into a heist plot. brilliant from start to finish.
