  So Aussie here. I was staying in Scotland some years ago and the friends I was staying with called me into a room the show me a spider to give me a fright. I’m afraid I looked at this five cent sized spider and back up at the friends and could not restrain from saying ‘that’s not a spider’. &nbsp;It was amusing at the time 😬

  21: don’t ignore signs at the beach saying swim between the flags. Too often tourists drown because they don’t understand the risks of surf especially rips.

  If I am talking to someone with an accent, the polite way to enquire is &quot;Where does that accent hail from?&quot;. However, I asked someone once, who answered... &quot; I&apos;ve got a speech impediment!&quot; LOL

  Two other reasons why it&apos;s so hot and much of the land is arid, is that when Australia has their summer, the earth is at its closests to the sun in its rotation around the sun. But also the earth tilts every year, so during Australias summer, they are tilted toward the sun. While the northern part of the earth is tilted away from the sun and are having their winters(it gets freaking cold), the southern are having their summers. So Australia really gets slammed with that sun!

  In Canada, I can watch 2 AFL games a week, live if I get up early enough. Love watching, don&apos;t understand the nuances by any means, but it&apos;s fun to watch; GO LIONS!

  That servo one is so true. I bought a motorbike from Brisbane and had to ride back to Sydney. Ya better make damn sure you stop every chance you get on a bike, that even means exiting the highway for some small towns or U get stranded

  When I first heard &apos;how&apos;ya going&apos; in a restaurant, five six years ago when I first moved to this beautiful country, I hesitated for a minute and actually thought that it wouldn&apos;t be a good idea to share my whole morning&apos;s story with this lovely young waitress.

  Yep, as a kid mum rubbing us down with Skol sun oil, SPF wasn&apos;t heard of, all we did was deep-fry. &nbsp;The five days later peeled like spuds.
