  Imagine if a Satanist, Muslim, Jew, or Hindu played their religious music in their studio and started teaching their beliefs without consent. THEN they would understand how irritating it is.

  as a cosmetologist, one of the FIRST things they teach you when talking with clients during services is how you don’t talk about religion or politics. if the client starts talking about it, you redirect the conversation. this is against sooo many unspoken rules for cosmetologists 😭😭<br><br>(lash extension artists fall under the cosmetology umbrella and you must have either a cosmetology OR esthetician license to be one!)

  My mom stopped going to a hairdresser she was a regular at for a while because the hairdresser found out I was queer and kept telling my mom that she Needed to get me into church and that she was going to start praying to &apos;cure&apos; the &apos;sin&apos;.

  I&apos;m Jewish and there are absolutely situations where I don&apos;t mind if someone prays over me. As a teenager, a close friend&apos;s mom was Christian and wanted to pray over us whenever we would take a road trip and I always found that to be sweet, it showed that she wanted us to be safe and she was using her faith in a way that she felt would protect us. I never felt that she was insincere or trying to proselytize. What these people are doing is exactly the opposite of all that. This is deeply uncomfortable, manipulative, wrong.
