The most unbelievable thing about this is that Dorian's lover has a mullet.

This is the definition of a bitter-sweet ending and although I like fairytale endings the more I think about this the more I like it. They're still together - it's just a long-distance relationship. Personally I find it very powerful that the inquisitor inspired Dorian to make real change in Tevinter, but it puts them on slightly different paths in their lives currently. It's not a co-dependent relationship, but a really mature and loving one. And there's plenty of hope that someday they can live together in the future, it's not like that's off-the-table completely. I'm really hoping that we'll see an update on their relationship in DA4, letting us know they're still together. Would be amazing.

The scene where Varric gives away Dorian's departure is more awkward than the Iron Bull romance scene where the advisors walk in on you two. Didn't know that was possible

I know that Dorian had "obviously gay stereotypes", so people have said, but being gay myself I was never bothered by it and honestly found it cute. Seeing him for the last time when he said "you didn't think I'd just leave and you'd never hear from me again did you?" After giving the player a sending crystal was so sad yet wholesome. I really loved how genuine his VA sounded during all the romance scenes, especially here as it truly made me believe that he cared for the player. Something about this final scene makes me want to cry everytime haha.. I do hope he returns in the next Dragon Age. 🥰

This always makes me so sad. It's so heartbreaking that no matter what, in the end, Dorian and the Inquisitor aren't together as they should be....

It's so cute how Dorian holds his hand during the second kiss. <3

I’m almost done with my Dorian Romance playthrough. It’s my second favorite DA:I Romance just after Cullen. I wish Dorian will be my BFF, Hell I want him as my brother.
