This 35 year old Warhammer model cost more than my car

Despite the model being stamped with "1990" it was released in 1998. Sadly I sold mine to someone in Florida in the early 2000's. If you find one out there that's missing the little stabilizing "wheel" on the back... I still have that.

I love the way Guy can hardly contain his joy when he starts explaining how he got it

Well now with a Golden Demon winner paint job I feel like that is officially the most expensive GW model on the planet.

Bravo for recognising the future historical significance up front and recording everything carefully. It's easy to forget that today's rare toys will one day be talked about on the Antiques Roadshow as expensive artefacts.

This thing is and remains the ultimate "IT'S A BOY" model in 40k!

Thanks for the size comparisons; I always wanted to know how big it is.

And I hope you get your hundreds of thousands of views. With 2000+++ after only 40 minutes, you're on your way. Great restoration!

Gosh I love these old school models. They just scratch that cartoonishly over the top itch you don’t really get with the new stuff. Not to mention your paint job is absolutely stunning! Amazing as always Guy! 🔥

The absolutely hilarious thing is.. the Orc word for troll... is Grot. So somehow between fantasy and 40k something got lost in translation and the word for troll became the word for goblins.

As a graff artist I loved the characters and art style but could never afford to play this when I was younger but I literally lived off the money shoplifting and selling the old heavy metal 40K figures to guys at school who ended up with thousands of space marines ,orc , ambles , goblins , the little rat guys and thousands of citadel paints over a couple of years ...All at least half price, Looking back now I'm not proud of it but I'd love to know how much it would all be worth now if I had been smart enough to just put it all away into boxes unopened

anyone else clocked that the box art at 0:13 uses a remodelled Tony Montana from Scarface as a Space Marine?
