During the Theophany of 1825 there was no orthodox priest in Alaska so the great water blessing wasn't performed. However Saint Herman of Alaska saw angels descending from heaven with the holy cross blessing the waters of Spruce Island. Saint Herman of Alaska went out to share to holy water blessed by the angels to those who were sick.

Thank you for the great gift of this reading. I love this work at my very core, and I claim St Innocent as my own dear father. Pray for us, Holy Father Innocent!

For so many years I had known of this message but had not really stopped to listen to it deeply until recently. Or perhaps, almost unconsciously, this was the natural expression of childhood faith that one sometimes has to renew and rediscover. Either way, “it is good for us to be here” (in the moment, opening our hearts to this message).

I converted to Orthodoxy 20 years ago. When I was a young “crazy convert “ I read voraciously. This is one of the most beautiful and pure expositions of the Faith. Thank you so much for this.

I've listened to or read a lot of works from different spiritual masters from different spiritual and religious sects and it's clear to me that these Orthodox saints are some of the best around.

I’m new to the church and my priest lent me a book about the life of st. Innocent. I’ve only just begun but already I’m moved by his faith and bravery being the only one to volunteer to go to America because he it was God wanted of him. I have so much to learn. He is the first saint that I’ve studied. That’s how I found this and wow. Im so happy to be on this journey. Thank you 🙏
