  I have GBA variant. But 100% convinced sleep apnea contributed to Earlier onset parkinson's by 10yrs

  Been on CPAP 15 years now, cant sleep without it.  I think it was pre- parkinson's but makes one think.

  I fell asleep during an in-depth hearing test yesterday ;-)   I had sudden hearing loss before Christmas.   Saw the doctor yesterday .   Everything is fine.  Of course.  I asked her WHY this could happen and her answer - PD.  I thanked her for even thinking about PD, being aware.  And, by now, my hearing is back to normal.   Such a typical dr’s visit.

  Great episode!  I also feel like there needs to be more education in the healthcare community on the special dangers and unique drug interactions that those of us with Parkinson's may face with the sleep study itself.  My sleep study was performed at a teaching hospital where my movement disorder clinic resided at the time, but there was absolutely no awareness from the staff on duty of how my Parkinson's meds, which were approved to take during the study, could interact with the new meds given for the study.  I was released from the study early and ushered out the door, still in a daze.  I vaguely remember falling multiple times while getting dressed and a few minutes later in the parking lot while waiting for my wife to pick me up.  My complaints to the medical staff fell on deaf ears.

  About avoiding a cpap. I call it my 'contraption' and I NEVER go anywhere without it.

  Jessica, you have no idea how good it makes me feel hearing you say that the DBS helped with your rigidity. I have virtually no tremor at all, my symptoms are almost entirely rigidity and Brady kinesia. &nbsp;Lots of good info here!! &nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fu2_DDetfE8&amp;t=1333">22:13</a>

  I have broken heart ❤ syndrome and Parkinson&apos;s 😢😢😢i can&apos;t believe Dartmouth sleep study lets you drive yourself home after in lab study 😮😮😮

  I was diagnosed with PD 10 years ago, and &quot;mild&quot; sleep apnea shortly thereafter. I resisted the &quot;facehugger&quot; like poison, but my sleep neurologist wore me down and I finally tried it. It worked so well that I now can&apos;t imagine sleeping without it. Improved energy, significantly lowered blood pressure, and really helped with brain fog.
