I was getting good work done with the $20 package, but over time, the 5-hour limit started running out in just half an hour, so I was forced to switch to the $200 package. They called it "20x," so I bought it. Now they’ve taken it off the market. They say they’ll bring it back, but they’re going to reduce it to "10x."

As a paying Pro subscriber, I’m seriously angry about this decision. $200 a month is already expensive. Cutting the included usage while keeping the same price—and introducing a $500 plan at the same time—feels like a slap in the face.

According to current reports, Pro 200’s Work/Codex allowance is dropping from 20× to 10× the Plus allowance, while GPT-6 Pro messages will fall from 200 to 100 per week. OpenAI officially confirms a lower allowance, with eligible existing subscribers keeping their previous limits through October 29.

I have no problem with an additional premium plan. But making the existing subscription substantially worse makes upgrading feel like pressure rather than a choice.

The “more efficient models” explanation needs evidence. Show us how much comparable work we can actually complete before and after this change. Better models don’t automatically compensate for losing half the reported allowance.

And why do customers have to piece these changes together from help pages and news articles? Publish a clear before-and-after comparison.

I won’t simply pay $500 because my existing subscription now includes less. I’m considering downgrading to Pro 100 or switching to Anthropic. OpenAI should take that loss of customer trust seriously.
