Manny Marroquin: History, Creativity, Analog Workflow & The Truth About Flock Audio PATCH

Step inside the world of multi-GRAMMY-winning mixing engineer Manny Marroquin for a conversation about creativity, workflow, analog mixing, the history of the legendary Larrabee Studios, and the tools that allow him to stay focused on the music. With a career spanning records from some of the biggest artists in music — including Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, Post Malone, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, John Mayer, Lizzo and countless others — Manny has spent decades refining not only how he mixes, but how he stays creative while doing it. In this conversation, Manny looks back at his journey through the recording industry and the evolution of Larrabee Studios before diving into his modern hybrid mixing workflow and the role Flock Audio PATCH plays in it. Manny discusses how having immediate access to his analog hardware through PATCH has changed the way he works, allowing him to experiment faster, audition equipment in real time and make creative decisions without interrupting the momentum of a mix. He also addresses one of the questions that continues to come up around digitally controlled analog routing: sonic transparency — and gives his perspective after years of actually using the system on major records and his award winning hits. For Manny, technology should never get between the engineer and the music. It should remove barriers, preserve inspiration and make it easier to create. This is a conversation about exactly that. -------- 🧠 Learn More: www.flockaudio.com 💰 Shop The PATCH Series: www.flockaudio.com/buy 📍 Find a Dealer: www.flockaudio.com/dealers -------- 🔵 About Flock Audio PATCH: The Flock Audio PATCH Series is an industry-leading family of digitally controlled, 100% analog routing systems designed for professional recording studios, broadcast facilities and audio production environments.
