  Immolation Tinder definitely deserves a spot on this list. High AR, thrust damage and one of the best casting tools.

  The biggest upside that I remember about #2. Santier&apos;s Spear; once it&apos;s broken it has infinite durability. That&apos;s a big thing in Dark Souls 2. If I wanted to clear an area and boss, I would normally need two weapons because one tends to run low on durability.

  The helix halberd originally was able to be powerstanced with halberds, there was an infamous mastodon + helix powerstance build.

  There&apos;s an argument to be made, that the scythe (which is not a scythe) is better then gargoyles halberd. GH has higher base damage but wants a quality build to maximize. Scythe is a Dex weapon, so you only need to invest in one stat instead of two. And the scaling of the scythe is so much better, that at 40/40 they almost do the same damage (one-handed they to the exact amount then). But going only into one stat, the Scythe is waaaay ahead. So the GH is better at minimum stats, but the Scythe surpasses it really quick. And the only way the GH can catch up is by going into two stats. So unless you have a dedicated quality build anyways, the Scythe is the better option (if we put aside the 25% resistance bonus the GH gives).

  I still have a soft spot for the mistranslated DS2 Scythe, the large blade and moveset really resonated with me, and I like that it’s easy to get to at McDuff.
