You do have a vivid imagination. Paperboys were eliminated by every newspaper in the early 1960's due to personal liability. I know that since my father got me a bike so I could do a paper route, then learned the city's two papers eliminated paperboys three months earlier. My father considered the bike "a waste of money" since it generated no income. Adults do those paper routes and the newspapers bill customers just like a utility. Other than that one glaring error, it was a great story.
